Heart Institute
Our highly experienced and qualified doctors and surgeons from various cardiac subspecialities diagnose and treat all types of heart diseases.
The Cardiac Division at Medanta has a unique ‘Heart Team’ concept to ensure that a team of clinical cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and cardiac surgeons combine their expertise to formulate and execute the best treatment option for patients with cardiac disease. The focus is to provide proficient care at an affordable cost.
Cardiac specialists at Medanta combine their experience with the most advanced techniques and diagnostic and surgical tools to treat and operate even the most complex cardiac cases.
Medanta’s use of cutting edge technology ensures long term success while providing immediate relief and ensuring patient functionality and safety.
The Artis-Zeego, available at Medanta, is equipped with a multi-axis robotic arm that provides unmatched flexibility and helps the patients to be in that position which fits best to procedural needs. This hybrid OT embodies the collaborative ‘Heart Team’ concept of Medanta by allowing cardiac surgeons and interventional cardiologists to work together, simultaneously, in the same room to provide the most technologically advanced care available.
Modern, minimally invasive surgery is made possible with the Da Vinci robotic platform. Using micro incisions, surgeons can perform delicate and complex surgeries without having to make a large cut. The ergonomically designed console converts the surgeon’s movements into corresponding micro-movements of instruments inside the patient’s body. Surgeons at Medanta use the Da Vinci Si robot to perform a growing number of complex urological, gynecological, cardiothoracic and general surgical procedures.
Medanta offers the latest state-of-the-art diagnosis, by using 256 Slice CT, one of the latest technological advancements in the field of medical diagnosis. This is an innovative non-invasive imaging technique that is specifically used for all kinds of heart diseases and disorders, to obtain a complete 3-Dimensional visual representation of the heart and other organs, in less than 5 seconds providing detailed information about the structure and functioning of the heart while the detector picks up on varying densities of the organ. The 256-slice CT scan provides a quantum leap in non-invasive imaging techniques.
Positron Emission Tomography (PET) or Computed Tomography (CT) scan is performed as an imaging test using a radioactive substance, which is known as a tracer to encounter any disease or bad blood flow to the heart. The Biograph TruePoint PET CT machine used at Medanta uses exclusive technologies, such as HD PET, TrueV, HI-REZ, LSO, Pico-3D, TrueC, and SureView, to provide outstanding image quality, which in turn improves the confidence in the diagnosis.
