About CPR

The importance of a few minutes is realized when they save a life. When done in the nick of time, CPR can act like a boon and increase the chances of survival after cardiac arrest.

Message : Director & HOD

Greeting, Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anytime. After Covid 19, incidences of cardiac arrest have increased tremendously. It does not make any distinction between age or gender or wellbeing. Taking recent cases, from TV actor Siddharth Shukla to Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar and singer KK, all lost their lives to cardiac arrest or heart attack at a young age. Tragically, we are witnessing a rise in cases in the younger generation, who are falling prey to sudden cardiac arrest and heart attacks. Therefore, it has become absolutely necessary and pertinent to spread awareness of CPR among the general public so that they can handle cardiac arrest situations and save lives. CRP training is need of the hour for people. Jay Prabha Medanta is taking the lead in Bihar in the initiative of carrying out ‘CPR Training Program’ for the general public and various other organizations, institutions, schools, colleges and non-healthcare facilities like banks, media, etc. Staff and employees of organisations like State Bank of India, Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Fire Service Department, Sashastra Seema Bal, media houses and a large number of pharmacist, physiotherapists, paramedics, ambulance drivers and gymnasium staff were given CPR training. Jay Prabha Medanta Super Specialty Hospital reached a milestone of 100% CPR trained staff and proudly announces of training 3,000 plus people in the first leg of its CPR Training Program with the start of the “Sudden Cardiac Awareness Week” on September 24, 2022. Our motto is “Learn CPR, Even You Can Save A Life”. The idea is to create mass awareness among every citizen above the age of 15 years and train them to conduct CPR. Jay Prabha Medanta aims to provide over 1,00,000 people CPR training and make them “A Lifesaver”. We invite and call upon general public, government departments, corporates, associations, private establishments, non-government organisations, communities, civil societies and people from all walks of life to support the initiative and take pledge to “Save A Life”. Thanking you, Dr Ravi Shankar Singh Medical Director (MD) Jay Prabha Medanta, Patna
