It is an immune reaction to eating gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley and rye. The classic symptom is diarrhoea. Other symptoms include bloating, wind, fatigue, low blood count (anaemia) and osteoporosis. Many people have no symptoms.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a chronic, recurrent and debilitating disease. IBD involves intestinal tract which is on a rapid rise in Indian sub-continent. An echoendoscope is a device with an attached ultrasonic probe that is used to do an endoscopic examination. Endosonography is a procedure that involves inserting a tube into the mouth, stomach, or intestines to detect any anomalies in the intubated organs' or nearby organs' walls. It's also a great tool for obtaining biopsies from lesions near the gastrointestinal tract that aren't too dangerous.
The Da Vinci robotic surgical system provides the surgeon with a plethora of advanced instruments at his disposal for robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery. The surgery is performed by using instruments that are guided by the surgeon using a console in real time while being able to view highly magnified 3D views of the surgical area.
Laparoscopy enables a surgeon to access the inside of the abdominal or pelvic area by using a laparoscope which is a low risk, minimally invasive method with small incisions. The laparoscope is a long thin tube with a high intensity light and camera attached to its front. This diagnostic procedure helps in less pain and bleeding after surgery, quicker recovery and reduced scarring.
